About
Hi, I'm Ray.
Currently
Part-time research assistant, continuing the LoRA adapter reuse work from a summer 2026 research internship at the Institute of Information Science, Academia Sinica (Jul to Aug).
Studying
4th-year Computer Science, National Cheng Kung University.
Working on
LoRA adapter reuse: cross-model transfer, then multi-adapter merging on small open LLMs.
I'm a 4th-year Computer Science student at National Cheng Kung University (NCKU). Over summer 2026 I was a research intern at the Institute of Information Science, Academia Sinica, and I'm continuing that work on LoRA adapter reuse as a part-time research assistant. I started building AI learning tools by accident — experimenting with side project ideas, I tried combining AI with something I actually cared about: learning Japanese. That experiment stuck, and the work since has felt purposeful in a way that's hard to manufacture. Being a learner myself means I can judge my own tools critically and solve the pain points I actually hit.
This site is my public build journal. It's where I document what I'm building, share what I'm learning, and think through the design decisions along the way. You'll find polished essays alongside rough build logs and quick notes — all part of building in the open.
Current projects
LoRA Adapter Reuse
activeSummer 2026 research internship at the Institute of Information Science, Academia Sinica, continued part-time: once a LoRA adapter is trained, how much of it can be reused, on another model or merged with other adapters?
AntiCopilot
activeA highly personalized IDE-integrated learning experience powered by LangGraph, designed to help developers learn by doing — not by copying.
栞 (Shiori)
activeAn AI-powered Japanese learning system built around real-world reading and adaptive tutoring.
